Meat and Rice Balls

Serving size: 3 ounces or 6 meat balls
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup instant white rice
- 3/4 teaspoon Mrs. Dash® herb seasoning blend
- 2-1/4 cups water
Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, egg and rice.
- After thoroughly mixed, roll into 24 small balls.
- Brown balls in skillet on all sides.
- Mix the Mrs. Dash® herb seasoning with
the water.in - Carefully pour the water and Mrs. Dash mixture in the skillet with the meatballs.
- Bring water to a boil.
- Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, rotating balls on all sides.

Reviewed: May. 27, 2010, 4:45 AM - Inappropriate review?I made this recipe with regular long grain rice as I had no instant rice available and it came out great. In my next attempt, I will season the meat before making the meatballs as they were a little bland in the middle. As a side note, I would love to see a recipe box where members can save recipes for later use so you don't have to constantly search for the same recipes over and over again.
