Baked Fish à la Mushrooms

Serving size: 3 ounces
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh or frozen fish fillets
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1-1/2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup white onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
Preparation
- Thaw fish, if frozen. Place fillets in a two-quart rectangular baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 450° F.
- Melt margarine in a small sauce pan. Add mushrooms and onion and cook over medium heat until tender.
- Spoon mushroom mixture over fish.
- Sprinkle with thyme.
- Bake uncovered in oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until fish flakes.

Helpful Hints
- Try tilapia or cod. Any white fish will work in this recipe.
- Thaw frozen fish in the refrigerator or under cold running water until fish is pliable.
- One tablespoon fresh thyme is equivalent to one teaspoon dried thyme.
